Ascension Cathedral Scholarships

Annually Ascension Cathedral is honored to offer scholarships to undergraduate students which have been established by faithful parishioners to serve and support future generations.

Ascension Cathedral offers the following Scholarships:

Scholarship applications are reviewed annually by Fr. Nick and are then awarded.

Archdiocesan Scholarships

Scholarships are also offered through the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese for undergraduate and graduate students. Applications for scholarships administered by the Office of the Chancellor of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America. Folk Dance Festival Scholarships

FDF is dedicated to helping our young participants of Orthodox Christian Faith and Greek dance culture to further their education. The FDF Scholarships are given to outstanding individuals that are recommended by their parish priest or dance program advisor/teacher who are highly motivated individuals that demonstrate the drive to succeed, the desire in their quest for a college education and commitment to FDF, their Church and their community.

A priest’s letter recommendation is required for the application. If you are planning on applying for an FDF Scholarship and need a letter of recommendation, please request a letter from our clergy allowing them ample time to complete a letter of recommendation.

Eligibility

Required education level: Between senior year of high school through junior year of college. The student must be attending and participating in the current year's FDF.

How to Apply

If you would like to be considered for one of these scholarships, notify your parish priest (or dance program advisor) and ask them to submit a letter on your behalf. To give your parish priest or dance program director additional information about yourself, provide them with a completed FDF Bio Sheet. All letters should be sent to the email below by the author of your letter:
