Greetings Ascension Dance Ministry Families!

Welcome back to a new season of Greek dance! Your dance directors have already begun planning for another outstanding year; researching, organizing and meeting as a group to prepare for this very exciting new year of Greek dance!

Below you will find details for the start of the season including this year's dance practice schedule, registration information, bylaws, as well as other key dates to be included on your calendars. Additionally, there have been some organizational changes this year:

We would like to wish the dancers of Analypsis a bright and successful future as they embark on their college careers. We have loved watching you grow as dancers and leaders. Twelfth graders will now be welcomed into the high school group, Titanes. Please help us in thanking Lefty Contoravdis, Yiannis Kotsiomitis and Nikoletta Limnios for their time and expertise volunteering with our ministry as they move on to the next chapters in their lives. You will all be missed! 

Our adult group, Enomeni, is taking a break from FDF and decided not to compete this year. However, we hope to offer an adult program in the spring to prepare for our Oakland Greek Festival. More info to come! 

We would also like to welcome two new volunteers to our ministry; George Mitsopoulos and Niko Vonich, thank you for making the commitment to help our ministry succeed and flourish!

2023 - 2024 Season groups

Koinonia - Kindergarten - 2nd grade

Practicing on Monday from 5:15 - 6:30 pm

Aionia - 3rd - 5th grade

Directed by: George Landis, Nicole Ledo, Niko Polyzos, Niko Vonich

Practicing on Mondays from 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Anagenisis - 6th - 8th grade

Directed by: Maria Woods, Athanasia Yfantis, George Mitsopoulos

Practicing on Mondays from 6:00 - 7:30 pm

Titanes - 9th - 12th grade

Registration for the 2023/2024 Dance Ministry season is now open through TeamSnap CLICK HERE TO REGISTER! All dance families must be current pledged stewards of Ascension Cathedral in order to register in the Dance Ministry. To become a pledged steward, please click here. Registration: $300 early registration discount price. $350 on October 1 - November 30, 2023

Through TeamSnap, you have the option to pay registration in full or bi-monthly credit card payments. You can choose your preferred payment option at checkout. Both credit card payments and bank transfers are accepted.

Registration includes an Ascension Dance Ministry T-shirt, director’s workshops, live music expenses, director’s FDF package, and director’s stipend. Additional fundraising is an integral part of our program and will be discussed at our Back to Dance Night. We are looking for parents to head up our fundraising efforts, please consider volunteering!

TeamSnap is the main form of communication for practices and events. To be included in director communication, all dancers must be registered. Directors will also be using TeamSnap as their attendance rosters. Additionally, only registered dancers will be included on the roster submitted for FDF. Register today so you don’t miss out!
