ST JOHN CHRYSOSTOM ORATORICAL FESTIVAL

Ascension Cathedral’s St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival will be held on March 4, 2018.
(Richmond Room following Holy Communion)

Participation in the Festival is open to all Ascension Cathedral students in Grades 1 through 12.
Please encourage your children to participate!

All student speakers, essayists and poets in this year’s St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival will receive a $50.00 scholarship from the Parish Council to use in the Ascension Bookstore, toward summer camp, toward Greek dance or other parish ministry.

There are many other benefits to participation in addition to the scholarship:

  • Find, or fine-tune, your voice for your faith
  • Build self-esteem by giving a short presentation in a supportive environment
  • Enhance your high school or college applications
  • Support your parish by participating in this important annual event

Ascension Cathedral’s fourth grade Sunday school class will help organize our festival as a leadership learning project and as service to our parish.  Thank you 4th Graders!
